Grub Control
This service is designed to protect your lawn from grub damage and treat it if grubs are present.
Grubs are small white beetle larvae that live in the soil and feed on grass roots. When they damage the roots, your lawn can start to look thin, brown, weak, or dry, even if you are watering it properly.
Why This Matters
Your lawn’s roots are what allow it to take in:
- Water
- Nutrients
- Oxygen
- Turn brown or patchy
- Feel soft or spongy
- Pull up easily from the soil
- Keep getting worse despite extra watering
How the service Works
There are two types of grub control service depending on what your lawn needs:
1. Preventative Grub Control
This is used before major damage happens. The goal is to stop young grubs early, before they can seriously harm the root system. This is usually done during the time of year when grubs are most vulnerable. Best for:- Lawns with no visible grub damage yet
- Customers who want seasonal protection
- Preventing expensive lawn recovery later
2. Curative Grub Control
This is used when grubs are already active and causing damage. If your lawn is already declining and an inspection confirms grub activity, a fast acting knock down product can be applied to target the infestation quickly. Best for:- Active grub infestations
- Turf that pulls up easily
- Areas already showing thinning, browning, or root loss
What to expect after service
If we apply a preventative treatment:
- It helps protect the lawn before damage starts
- It works best when applied at the right time of year
- It can reduce the chance of future root damage
If we apply a curative treatment:
- It targets active grubs already feeding in the soil
- Existing lawn damage may still be visible for a while
- Recovery depends on how much healthy root system remains
