Should I Be Concerned About The Weather Affecting My Treatment?
Weather & Treatment Policy
- Treatments can still be completed in wet or rainy conditions.
- For lawn treatments, moisture can actually help the product work better by helping it penetrate weeds.
- Our Lawn Care Supervisor and Director of Operations review weather conditions before routes are dispatched each day. Routes can be skipped due to weather based on their judgement of treatment effectiveness and most importantly, the safety of our technicians.
- Our Technicians are trained to use their best judgment when they arrive to decide whether conditions are appropriate.
- We take extra care to minimize traffic on the lawn in wet conditions.
Pest treatment in rainy weather
- Rainy weather can actually make interior pest service a good option, because bugs often move inside to avoid the rain. However, after the initial pest service, we do not treat the interior unless it is specifically requested by the client. We recommend that the client check the weather conditions of their treatment date and contact our office or their technician to request an interior treatment.
- For exterior pest control, treatment focuses on the eaves and perimeter of the home.
- If rain is too heavy, the technician may:
- complete what they can and come back later to touch up the exterior if needed. (see Retreat Policy).
Outdoor pest control
- For outdoor pest service, the company may use liquid or granular treatment depending on the weather, based on what is legally allowed and appropriate for the conditions that day.
